Its rooms are large and well-designed with a bath, good enough for a wedding ceremony. The location is particularly good for exploring Bishop Auckland.

Booked the hotel for its comfortable location so close to the conservatory as well as a stunning manor house. Moreover, it was 3 km from St Paul.

The services were good. The room was pet-friendly and extremely pleasant with comfortable bed, the breakfast was good. The breakfast was included and had plenty of meals. The staff were both efficient and 

Our room was newly decorated and complete with drinks, a bath, as for instance. The property's location was unbeatable, to a recommended pub about 2miles away. Plus, it was near to a cafe across the road, atmospheric Manor House, and 

The room we booked was a nice size and compact with a bath, the radiators on, for instance. The location was perfect and exceptionally nice, to the Kynren festival, in the quiet area.

Got the same a nice size and pet-friendly room with a bath booked online, loved that. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, so close to hill over the years, and the gardens. Also, Eleven Arches was 4 km away.  

Absolutely perfect and excellent location for trip in Bishop Auckland. Decent sized and extremely pleasant rooms with comfortable bed and delightful bar area.

We loved to be here for a trip and will be returning here soon. It was recently refurbished, airy and with a bath.

The hotel was in a marvellous and lovely location just next door to a pub close by and Beamish open air museum for what we wanted it for.

We had a lovely big bedroom. The location was fab in light of everything else being great.

The location exceeded all expectations, it was lovely in facilitating an early evening meal to allow us the time to reach the festival. The restaurant had excellent meals. We didn't want to say goodbye and would come here again. 

The room was compact and recently renovated in general, with comfortable bed. The breakfast was good with hot water for tea, toast and an extra croissant, had everything you could want.

It offers decent sized and newly decorated rooms with 4 poster bed, a great value for money, a bath.
